The Lathrop Malemutes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Juneau-Douglas and snuck past 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lathrop got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Atticus Foley out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Devonte Hall, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Lathrop and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Juneau-Douglas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Colony the next time they take the court. Juneau-Douglas will head out to face Colony at 4:35 p.m. on Friday, while Lathrop will head out to face them at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday.
