Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Eagleville walked away with a 12-7 victory over Summertown. Eagleville hasn't had any issues with Summertown recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Eagleville got a great performance from Drake Rzemieniewski as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Rzemieniewski has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maddox Bouldin was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Gleason, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Eagleville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summertown only managed nine hits.
Meanwhile, Cannon County came up short against Sequatchie County on Thursday and fell 8-3. The Lions have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Cannon County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Fritts, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Fritts has hit this season.
Eagleville's record now sits at 21-6. As for Cannon County, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
Cannon County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eagleville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Cannon County, though, as they've only averaged .241. Will they be able to contain Eagleville's hitters?
Eagleville took their victory against Cannon County in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
