Mountain Crest extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 5 this week by beating Timpanogos, 36-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Box Elder made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 816 from 1,144. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 20-0 victory over Maple Mountain last week.
Sky View's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Braxton Godderidge threw for 342 and three touchdowns and Daniel Lemon had 139 yards receiving. On the ground Ethan Dursteler chipped in 38 yards. Nate Payne helped Sky View's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 96 yards.
Chase Nelson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Logan lost to Timpview. The 5-foot-10 junior forced one fumble.
6-foot-5 quarterback Luke Falk of the Grizzlies is the league leader in passing yards this season with 3618. He has also thrown 36 touchdowns. On the ground, the Bees' Kyler Allen has rushed for 712 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lemon. The Sky View star has 57 catches for 1111 yards.
