The Troy Warriors and the Arcadia Apaches squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Troy Warriors had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to the Apaches. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Arcadia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Dollar, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Mansour Sanneh, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arcadia is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Serra at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Arcadia is ranked 149th, while Serra is ranked 128th).
