The Southington Blue Knights won the last time they faced the Farmington River Hawks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Southington walked away with a 43-31 victory over Farmington.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Roxy Cardillo, who scored eight points along with nine steals and five rebounds. Cardillo has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Doherty, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
The victory got Southington back to even at 8-8. As for Farmington, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Hartford at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Southington is facing East Hartford at the right time seeing as East Hartford is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Farmington, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hall at 6:45 p.m.
