Provine has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Natchez Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Provine's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Even though Brookhaven scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Provine still came out on top. Provine took their contest against Brookhaven 67-59.
Natchez suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-30 walloping at the hands of South Jones. Natchez was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
Provine is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Natchez, they dropped their record down to 12-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Provine against Natchez in their previous meeting on January 9th as the team secured a 65-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Provine since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
