Bowie came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Howe Bulldogs on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Jackrabbits, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bowie's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Howe, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6.

Bowie and Howe could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Bowie will take on Jacksboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 200 places (344 vs. 144). Meanwhile, Howe (ranked 696th) will meet Bells (ranked 286th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
