Sandusky and Norwalk are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Sandusky Blue Streaks will be playing at home against the Norwalk Truckers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sandusky has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 716 points over their last ten contests.
Sandusky posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 win over Columbian. 66 seems to be a good number for Sandusky as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Sandusky's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Henlon, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Henlon has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Brown, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Norwalk had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Huron and snuck past 39-36.
Sandusky's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Norwalk, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Sandusky strolled past Norwalk in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 78-63. Does Sandusky have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norwalk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
