The Wesley Chapel Wildcats can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sunlake 71-40 at home. Winning may never get old, but Wesley Chapel sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Wesley Chapel found their leader in underclassman Sanai Forrester-Jhagroo, who scored 27 points along with five steals. Forrester-Jhagroo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Dayla Christopher, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Several Seahawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alia Dobrzanski, who scored 11 points. Dawn Figueroa was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Wesley Chapel pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.7 points. As for Sunlake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesley Chapel will take on the Dreadnaughts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Wildcats are ranked 136th). As for Sunlake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
