The Mattamuskeet Lakers lost against the Bear Grass Charter Bears back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mattamuskeet was dealt a 50-14 loss at the hands of Bear Grass Charter. Mattamuskeet has struggled against Bear Grass Charter recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Brayden Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bear Grass Charter, rushing for 96 yards and three touchdowns. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pritchett, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Mattamuskeet's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bear Grass Charter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Mattamuskeet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bear Grass Charter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hobgood Charter at 7:00 p.m. on October 26th.
