The School of the Ozarks Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Verona Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. School of the Ozarks will be strutting in after a victory while Verona will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, School of the Ozarks strolled past Southwest with points to spare, taking the game 48-31. The win made it back-to-back wins for School of the Ozarks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead School of the Ozarks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Todd, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Holland Houston, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Verona's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 55-47 to Billings.
School of the Ozarks has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Verona, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
School of the Ozarks beat Verona 60-50 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will School of the Ozarks repeat their success, or does Verona have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
