Basketball Recap: Greenfield-Central Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Greenfield-Central had won four straight games and Braylon Mullins did his part to make it five on Thursday. The Greenfield-Central Cougars took their match with ease, bagging a 79-46 win over the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils thanks in part to Mullins, who went 15 of 21 on his way to 37 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Greenfield-Central's points.

Boston Willard was another key player, putting up five points in addition to seven assists and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last five games he's played.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Lowery, who posted 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That's the most boards Lowery has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Thomas Campbell, who went 6 for 12 en route to 12 points.

Greenfield-Central pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.6 points. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
