Leading Highland to victory were Madilyn Gewirtz and Emilee Searle. Gewirtz scored seven points along with nine steals and eight rebounds, while Searle scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Riggs, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Corona del Sol saw an underclassman step up: Penelope Williams scored eight points along with two steals.
Highland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Corona del Sol, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
