The Walnut Ridge Scots entered their tilt with the South Bulldogs with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Walnut Ridge walked away with a 53-40 victory over South on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Walnut Ridge also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Walnut Ridge can attribute much of their success to Nyah Hubbard, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nariyah Roddy, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, South still got an impressive performance from Emani Tynes, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The match was Tynes' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kesia Williams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walnut Ridge will square off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for South, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Crossing at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Central Crossing is ranked 440th, while South is ranked 454th).
