After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Neillsville, the Greenwood Indians were happy to have found some success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Spencer as Greenwood made off with a 55-31 win. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Greenwood considering their 11-point performance the matchup before.
Autumn Davis and Ema Schultz certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Davis scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while Schultz scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
Greenwood pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Spencer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Columbus Catholic the next time they take the court. Spencer will host Columbus Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while Greenwood will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
