Marshall's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aric Goodman, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Goodman continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jai Lopez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Marshall's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Sam Houston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Marshall will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against SA Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd. SA Roosevelt is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Sam Houston, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Boerne-Champion at 6:30 p.m. Boerne-Champion is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
