Pillager's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Hooge, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. Hooge has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Schaefer, who scored 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Hinckley-Finlayson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Pillager, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Hinckley-Finlayson will be playing at home against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Minnesota (Milaca is ranked 381st, while the Jaguars are ranked 366th). As for Pillager, they will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Verndale is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
