After a string of three wins, the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 56-47 to Mountain Top Christian. While losing is never fun, Parkview Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 664th in Illinois, while Mountain Top Christian is ranked 255th in Wisconsin).
Parkview Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Landon Malkowski, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Malkowski is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Alex Bernicky was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Parkview Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Mountain Top Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkview Christian Academy will be staying on the road on January 8th to face off against Christian Life at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th. Mountain Top Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maranatha Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th.
