A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Tigers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Paetow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
If Paetow beats Sealy with ten runs on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Paetow didn't even let Alief Taylor on the board on Friday, marking Paetow's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Paetow let MIA RUIZ and AMANDA VASQUEZ loose on the outfield. RUIZ scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while VASQUEZ scored two runs while going 2-for-3. RUIZ also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was GLORYA HOWLAND, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
Paetow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Sealy posted their closest victory since May 2, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against George Ranch, sneaking past 5-3.
Caylee Syzdek and Jaylyn Packebush did most of the damage at the plate: Syzdek went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Packebush scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Packebush has posted since back in February of 2024. Kara Kram13 was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
The win got Paetow back to even at 2-2. As for Sealy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Paetow has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Sealy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
