Cambria Heights will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Susquehanna Township on Saturday. Cambria Heights put the hurt on Susquehanna Township with a sharp 16-3 victory. Considering the Highlanders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Anthony Swander made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Stephen Nelen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Bryce Lewis, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to Conemaugh Township.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cambria Heights, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
