The Shekinah Christian Flames will face off against the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Shekinah Christian sitting on five straight victories and Liberty Christian Academy on four.
Shekinah Christian came out on top against Madison Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run sixth inning. The Flames put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 19-3 win. The Flames might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by ten runs or more this season.

Aiden Nofziger and Jayce Yoder were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Nofziger pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Yoder pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nofziger has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Nofziger went 1-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Yoder went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Nofziger has become a key player for Shekinah Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Max Kilzer was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Camden Miller was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Shekinah Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Liberty Christian Academy not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024 (when they won 15-2). They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Madison Christian.
Like Shekinah Christian, Liberty Christian Academy also got a great game from a pair of two-way players: Luke Mollohan. On the mound, Mollohan tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Dawson Kamppi pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Mollohan posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Mollohan got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Kamppi got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Dyer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Drew Fye, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Liberty Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Shekinah Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Liberty Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Shekinah Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Liberty Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Shekinah Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Shekinah Christian took their win against Liberty Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flames since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
