Mission Viejo got themselves on the board against Tesoro on Thursday, but Tesoro never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Titans. The win continues a trend for the Diablos in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won four in a row.

Mission Viejo got a great performance from Caleb Tucker as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Furthermore, Tucker didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

At the plate, Mission Viejo's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Marsee, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Marsee has posted since back in March of 2024. Another was Jacob Powley, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mission Viejo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matchups.

Mission Viejo's record is now 8-6. As for Tesoro, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mission Viejo and Tesoro will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Mission Viejo will square off against rival Beckman at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Tesoro is set to face off against their familiar foe Capistrano Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
