Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Southwest, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-21 loss to Maywood/Hayes Center on Saturday.
Southwest's loss came about despite a quality game from Atleigh Nelms, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Alma's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
