It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bishop Kenny Crusaders had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They really took it to the Wolfpack for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-4 victory at home. Bishop Kenny has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Bishop Kenny had a senior duo take command as Riley Talbert scored 15 points along with five steals and Clare Coyle scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Coyle has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lena Granuzzo, who scored 14 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wolfson struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bishop Kenny pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 21-4 with that win, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Wolfson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Bishop Kenny will be playing at home against Bolles on Friday. Bolles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bishop Kenny surely won't give up without a fight. Wolfson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
