Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covenant Christian). They blew past the Vina Red Devils, posting a 57-28 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Despite the loss, Vina saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Layla Hester posted five points and four steals. Hester is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 33 games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory snapped Covenant Christian's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-13 record. As for Vina, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Covenant Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-41 defeat against Haleyville on the 17th. As for Vina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-30 loss against Phil Campbell on the 17th.
