Heath scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Northridge Vikings by a score of 52-50. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Heath still got an impressive performance from Kailyn Holmberg, who posted 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Peyton Del Cecato, who earned 15 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Heath smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only pulled down seven offensive boards.

Northridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Travis, who had 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Travis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Ruby Cermak was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Northridge, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Heath didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-52 loss against Utica on the 18th. As for Northridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-51 win against Lakewood on the 18th.
