The North Central Eagles lost against the Delta Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. North Central fell 49-36 to the Panthers. North Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cohen Meyers, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Kidston, who scored nine points.
North Central has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Delta, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
North Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Locomotives at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Montpelier is ranked 660th, while the Eagles are ranked 665th). As for Delta, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
