After a string of ten wins, the Redbank Valley Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 86-77 to Karns City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), Redbank Valley still had to take the loss.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breckin Minich, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Minich has scored all season. Owen Clouse was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds.
Redbank Valley's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-2. As for Karns City, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Redbank Valley will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. East Forest is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Karns City, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Clarion will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Gremlins are ranked 202nd).
