Volleyball Recap: Indian Creek Has No Trouble Against Shelbyville

The Indian Creek Braves got the win against the Shelbyville Golden Bears on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Indian Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-22.

Indian Creek can attribute much of their success to Morgan Wathen, who had 11 digs and four aces. Wathen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Wathen wasn't the only good server: Indian Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shelbyville only served three aces.

Indian Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Shelbyville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Indian Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Monrovia on the 4th. As for Shelbyville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Greenwood on the 4th.
