It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Alonso had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They didn't even let Riverview onto the board and left with a 8-0 victory. Alonso might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 11 games by three goals or more this season.
They hit Riverview with a five-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Autumn Evans (3),
Emery Ludlam (2), and
Mia Turtle.
Alonso's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 goals per game. As for Riverview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
Alonso will face off against Steinbrenner at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
