Robinson has gone 3-0 against Lake Norman Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Robinson Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lake Norman Charter Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lake Norman Charter will be up against a hot Robinson squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Robinson simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat South Rowan 65-35. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Raiders are ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Camri Hobbs, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Chambers, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 14 points along with five boards and four steals.
Robinson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Lake Norman Charter's strategy against Carson on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lake Norman Charter blew Carson out of the water with a 67-32 final score. The Knights pushed the score to 56-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars had little chance of recovering from.
Lake Norman Charter found their leader in sophomore Abby Courtney, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine steals. Courtney is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Reece Long, who went 6 of 13 en route to 22 points and five rebounds.
Robinson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Lake Norman Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
Robinson strolled past Lake Norman Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 80-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Robinson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
