The Parrish Community Bulls will take on the Sebring Blue Streaks at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Parrish Community walked away with it. They took down the Pirates 63-49  on Wednesday. Given Parrish Community's advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 98th, while Boca Ciega is ranked 352nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Mary Portwood was  her usual excellent self,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 28 points and nine  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  she has scored all season.  Alexis Heuss was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with three  steals.
 Meanwhile, Sebring waltzed into their contest  on Wednesday with four straight wins  but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southeast 56-28 on the road. Sebring has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine  matches by 20  points or more this season.
 Sebring relied on the efforts of   Shamari Jones, who  scored 11 points, and   Adrianna Maldonado, who  scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was  Gileanys Nieves Martinez, who  scored eight points.
 Parrish Community has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Sebring, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
 Everything came up roses for Parrish Community against Sebring in their previous meeting  back in February of 2023 as the  team secured a  65-37 victory. With Parrish Community ahead  45-23 at the half, the  match was all but over already.
