Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Legion Preparatory Academy

Legion Preparatory Academy came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against The New School Cougars by a score of 67-56. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tijan Barrie produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Soloman Bradshaw, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Legion Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for The New School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Legion Preparatory Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-64 loss against BigTyme Prep Academy on the 3rd. As for The New School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Terra Verde Discovery on January 31, 2026.
