Delaware County Christian is 9-1 against Plumstead Christian since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against Plumstead Christian at 3:45 p.m. Delaware County Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Delaware County Christian fell victim to Westtown and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to Westtown. The Knights haven't had much luck with Westtown recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Delaware County Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Burd, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, Plumstead Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Drakes 7-1. Considering Plumstead Christian has won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Noah Kephart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Charlie Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Declan Glass, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Plumstead Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jenkintown struck out 15 times.
Delaware County Christian now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Plumstead Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Delaware County Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. However, it's not like Plumstead Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Delaware County Christian's way against Plumstead Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Delaware County Christian made off with a 12-2 victory.
