The BASIS - Chandler Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Heritage Academy 83-65. The victory was nothing new for BASIS - Chandler as they're now sitting on three straight.
BASIS - Chandler found their leader in underclassman Mathew Akpan, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Akpan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kalan Karuppana, who scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals.
BASIS - Chandler pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Heritage Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. BASIS - Chandler won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Fire at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. Premier Prep- PHHoenix is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Heritage Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
