Norcross (Ga.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Mountain View (Lawrenceville, Ga.), 37-6, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Josh Boyd in the first quarter, the Blue Devils led 24-0 at the half.
Norcross expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. NHS's lone score in the quarter came on an
A.j. Bush touchdown run.
With the win the Blue Devils extended their winning streak to five games. Norcross defeated Collins Hill 28-0 last week.
Led by
Lorenzo Carter, Norcross came into the game allowing 16.7 points per game.
NHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 48-6.
The loss was the third in a row for the Bears.
Mountain View (1-6) will play a AAAAAA Region 7 game against Meadowcreek next week, while Norcross (6-2) will take on Peachtree Ridge also in a AAAAAA Region 7 game.
