The Roxana Shells entered their tilt with the Okawville Rockets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Roxana enjoyed a cozy 48-30 win over Okawville on Friday. For Roxana, this counts as revenge for the 57-43 loss Okawville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Roxana got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Walleck out in front who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Maberry, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Roxana now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Okawville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roxana will take on Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Okawville, they will be playing at home against Red Bud at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Red Bud presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Okawville in Illinois (Red Bud is ranked 176th, while Okawville is ranked 494th).
