Sabetha won the last time they faced St. Marys and things went their way on Monday too. Sabetha walked away with a 9-6 win over St. Marys. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluejays.
Chloe Detweiler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other pitching news, Sabetha got a great performance from Emerson Strahm as she tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

Kiera Keim was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sabetha will head out to face off against Perry-Lecompton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Marys, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Jefferson West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson West will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Marys surely won't give up without a fight.
