Sunray dropped their record down to 8-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 13-0 to the Floydada Whirlwinds. The Bobcats were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Whirlwinds' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Floydada, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

For Floydada's part, they secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Bella Perez, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

While Sunray had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
