The Atlantic Christian Sharks will venture away from home to take on the Palm Beach Lakes Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantic Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Atlantic Christian got the win against Glades Central by a conclusive 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Landon Moffitt made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Atlantic Christian let Micah Herring and David Gonzalez run wild. Herring scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Gonzalez is becoming a predictor of Atlantic Christian's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Kyle Bradford also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Lakes entered their tilt with Lake Worth on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 9-5. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Like Atlantic Christian, Palm Beach Lakes also got a great game from a two-way player: Bryce Jackson. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Jackson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases.
In other batting news, Kaiden Edwards and Armando Osorio did most of the damage at the plate: Edwards went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, while Osorio scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most hits Edwards has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Antonio, who scored a run and stole a base.
Palm Beach Lakes pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Atlantic Christian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Atlantic Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .486. However, it's not like Palm Beach Lakes struggles in that department as they've averaged .483. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Atlantic Christian took their win against Palm Beach Lakes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-9. Will Atlantic Christian repeat their success, or does Palm Beach Lakes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
