Ski-Valley - North recap Nov. 7, 2012
La Salle extended the longest winning streak in Ski-Valley - North this week by beating Stephenson, 35-20. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Saints.
La Salle took down the Eagles 35-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tyler Snyder threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
The Saints' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Richard Bentley chipped in 130 yards. Curtis St. Louis helped La Salle's passing attack out by catching three balls for 24 yards.
Joey Ostman was the best wideout in the league this week as La Salle topped Stephenson. Ostman tallied four receptions for 40 yards.
The Saints' Snyder and Ostman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Snyder has thrown for 1314 yards this season, while Ostman, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 33 catches for 562 yards. Pickford's Jarred Lavigne leads the league in rushing yards with 822.
La Salle made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,021 from 5,578. The improvement came about via a 35-20 victory over Chad Brandt's team last week.
