If The Bosco Tech Tigers were feeling good off their 41-12 takedown of the Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bosco Tech was beaten by Salesian 42-8 on Friday. Bosco Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Despite the loss, Bosco Tech still got an impressive performance from Andrew Shahin, who rushed for 169 yards. Shahin's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
Salesian can attribute much of their success to Ayden Ramirez, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Michael Edwards, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Bosco Tech has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Salesian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Bosco Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Monica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Monica is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Salesian, they will challenge Bishop Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Montgomery will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 826th, while Salesian is ranked 228th).
