They strolled past Weldon Valley with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 73-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Weldon Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is August Filter. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points. Filter scored a full 42.4% of Weldon Valley's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Dane Johnston was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Campion Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Weldon Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campion Academy will take on Front Range Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
