LaConner will challenge Lummi on the road at Lummi High School at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close matchup.
LaConner had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They came up short against Ocosta last week, falling 7-14.
Meanwhile, Lummi had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 58-50 win.
Lummi's victory lifted them to 1-0 while LaConner's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Lummi's success rolls on or if LaConner are able to steal their positive momentum.
