Freedom was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in 4A/3A Conference 2. The Patriots beat Newton-Conover 33-30 earlier in the week.
Patton added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Community School of Davidson, 47-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Hickory's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jaquan Crawford threw for 56 yards and Jonathan Reid had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Jahiz Linebarger contributed 40 yards.
