The Berrien Rebels lost against the Lowndes Vikings back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Berrien was dealt a 66-16 defeat at the hands of Lowndes. Berrien has not had much luck with Lowndes recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Kaci Demps continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lowndes, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. Those ten steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kayla Jackson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Berrien now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lowndes, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Berrien and Pelham will face off at 12:45 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pelham presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Berrien in Georgia (Pelham is ranked 63rd, while Berrien is ranked 304th). Lowndes will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tournament Team at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th.
