Cadott is a perfect 8-0 against Augusta since August of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Cadott's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Augusta has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Tuesday. Cadott walked away with a 3-1 victory over Colby.
Cadott had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-13.
Meanwhile, Augusta lost 3-0 to Eleva-Strum on Tuesday.
Augusta was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.
Cadott will have to contain Brooklyn Krueger as she made an impact in Augusta's last game. She had five digs and three aces.
Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Cadott, their win bumped their record up to 24-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Cadott has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Augusta struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Cadott was able to grind out a solid victory over Augusta in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Beavers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
