Excel Christian has not had much luck with the Lakers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonah Calderas, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. Mark Doerfler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pyramid Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cash Hall, who scored 17 points along with six assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Takoda Rivers, who scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Excel Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Pyramid Lake, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Excel Christian will head out on the road to take on the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Coleville is ranked 114th in California, while the Warriors are ranked 89th in Nevada). As for Pyramid Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Serpents at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mineral County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten games.
