After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southridge, the Braddock Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They breezed by Southwest on the road to the tune of 57-18. Given Braddock's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Southwest is ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braddock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniella Pujadas out in front who scored 13 points along with nine steals. Pujadas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elsa Stier, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Braddock has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Braddock will be playing at home against Mater Academy Charter on Monday. Mater Academy Charter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
