On Wednesday, the Ballou Knights faced the DC International Dragons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ballou was beaten by DC International 57-23. The defeat means Ballou is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
DC International's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vanae Biddix, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Biddix hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Davis, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Ballou's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12. As for DC International, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.
Ballou didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat vs. Banneker on the 9th. DC International has also already played their next contest, a 58-17 victory against Washington Leadership Academy on the 9th.
